You can configure the RPM at which an "over RPM" event is recorded and available in various reports and assign different over RPM values to different vehicle groups within your fleet. Over RPM and Over Throttle is also included in Fuel Bonus report.

Vehicle type settings, along with descriptions of them, and guidelines for how to enter a value for each setting, are listed in the table below.

Configuration using the Web Portal

Adding New Group:

  1. Click “Add Group”
  2. Type in the name of the group in the “Name” field
  3. Choose the proper settings you would like to use for this group.
  4. Click “Save”

Copying Settings from an existing group settings:

  1. Select the group settings name from which you would like to copy the settings by clicking the corresponding name.
  2. Click “Copy.”
  3. Make any edits to the group as desired.
  4. Click “Save.”

Synchronizing Changes with Devices

Editing and saving the group will push the changes to the device.

Options

Name:

Name used to identify this vehicle type settings group. 

Fuel Bonus:

Variable values used in Fuel Bonus Calculations

  1. Goal MPG is the overall MPG goal among all vehicles operated by the Driver for the DateRange the Fuel Bonus Report is run and for the ELD Display of Fuel Usage
  2. Cost per Gallon
  3. Driver Split Percent of gallons saved over MPG Goal

Over RPM:

Value of highest RPM value allowed on this vehicle.

Value must be between 800 and 3000.

A value of 0 will disable this feature. 

Deceleration MPH Threshold:

The threshold for Deceleration (Hard Brake) in MPH/per second before which the vehicle will trigger the Deceleration event.

Value must be between 1 and 15 MPH.

A value of 0 will disable this feature.

Default = 9 

JBUS Baud Rate:

0. 250K

1. 500K

2. auto baud on Atmel SAM4 and 500K on Atmel SAM7

Tank Capacity:

Sets the Tank Capacity of the Vehicle

Fuel Type:

Specify the Fuel Type for the Vehicle

No/Alternative Engine Time:

For ELDs connected to vehicles via ODB2 and Engine Time is not reported, Enabling this value will cause the ELD to perform the following alternative functions:

1. Track engine time when RPM is present

2. Avoid reporting engine time malfunction

NON-ELD Mode:
