How Will the Truck-PC Detect Driving (Starting December 2017)?
Answer:
- The unit will place the driver on the drive line if the vehicle has been moving for more than 3 seconds at 5 MPH or greater.
- Once the vehicle has stopped moving for a period of 5 minutes it will ask the driver if he/she is still driving.
- If the driver does not respond within a minute (i.e. 6 minutes after stopping) then the driver is placed on-duty.
- If the driver responds that he is still divining it will keep him on the drive line until he manual changes his duty status.
- If the driver responds that he is not driving then it will place him on-duty at the moment he answers the question (no back dating the time).
