Logging Malfunction (3) is a system controller reset. This will occur when GPS movement is detected for 90 seconds but the unit is not receiving RPM data. The system controller is reset in an attempt to correct this issue.
The most common cause of the Logging Malfunction (3) is driving while not receiving JBUS data. The unit, while detecting movement but not receiving RPM data, will reset the controller every 10 minutes in an attempt to "correct" this issue.
