System Implementation

System Installed and Running 7/18/2014

The new fuel sensor has been installed and is running in the field! We picked up the driver at the Enterprise (car rental) location at the airport 6:30pm last Friday (7/18/2014) and told him what had been updated on the truck. Also explained  where he could read the fuel level on the TruckPC. We had a few issues with XPe truck (it seemed that it would not come up) but that later turned out to be impatience on our part. We provided the driver with some written information on how to use the DTFuel application on the TruckPC. Driver is new to USX and when XPe did not work right away, had him get in touch with Dan P. to get his dispatch. Well, by the time that happened XPe truck was up and running so driver was on his way at approx. 8:30pm Friday evening.

We've been monitoring the truck and pulling logs periodically. The logs record min by min data and the sensor appears to be functioning well. Below an excerpt from the log which also shows a fuel “event”.

This fuel jump indicated that fuel was added to the tank and we correlated time stamp in the GPS log to pinpoint exactly where the driver fueled up. Yesterday we called the driver and confirmed the fuel stop with him. Yesterday the truck was not used and so far today it’s been offline as well. We’ll continue to monitor the truck for the next few weeks and will update you from time to time. We can also review this on our bi-weekly calls. The attachment is a screenshot of the DTFuel app on the truckpc.
