The current driver always logs in last.
How-to Add Co-Driver on Rev 8
- Why won't the ELD allow you to add a co-driver even when you go to US-8 tab > Add Co-Driver? Do you need to add a Co-driver before adding an On-Duty status?
- Using the Co-Driver button from the main HOS tab will log in a Co-Driver.
- A Co-Driver must have logged in to the device within the last 24 hours to add a Co-Driver to your logs.
How to Apply a Co-Driver to your logs, step-by-step.
- From the main HOS screen, press the Co-Driver button:
- Select the Co-Driver's name or select "Other" if your Co-Driver is not on the list. Only those drivers that have logged into the unit in the last 24-hours will be auto-populated on this list. Other is for anyone else you'd like to add:
- Next, enter the Co-Driver's logon information. If password protected, you will also need to enter the Co-Driver's password.
- Next, you can either View/Edit the Co-Driver's logs or hit the back arrow in the top left corner. If you want to apply the Co-Driver to the Driver's logs, never logout until you have completed these steps. In this example we will simply press the back arrow.
- Now we are back on the driver's main HOS page. Notice that the Co-Driver's name is now listed in the Co-Driver field.
- While going On-Duty, you will see the Co-Driver's name on the same screen as the BOL and Trailer Numbers. After this is On-Duty status is submitted, the Co-Driver will now be listed on the Driver's logs. Complete the On-Duty entry to add the Co-Driver to the driver's log.
WARNING: BOTH DRIVERS MUST LOGIN TO THE UNIT WITHIN THE LAST 24 HOURS IN ORDER TO BE SELECTABLE AS THE CO-DRIVER
