How-to End Your Duty Day

Step-by-step guide

  1. From the main Menu, select the HOS option

  2. Ending your shift is accomplished by touching "Off-duty" or Sleeper berth" from the "US-8" or "Logs" tab.tab, "Short-haul 100" if you're local.

  3. Touch "End of Shift"

  4. If you need to enter a post-trip inspection (DVIR), touch Touch "Yes" when asked "Enter Driver Vehicle Inspection Report?"
  5. Touch "Yes" if any defects were found during your inspection. If "yes," touch "Location".

  6. We will select "General" for this example. Select the option that best suits your defect location.

  7. Touch the "Defect" field.

  8. In this example we select "Safety Belt"

  9. Touch the "Remarks" field, enter your remarks and touch "Submit".

  10. Touch the "Add" button to complete entering the defect.
  11. If there are no more defects, select "No" on the "Any More Defects?" screen, or touch "Yes" to add another defect.

  12. Confirm Off-duty or Sleeper Berth, and end of shift, by touching "Submit".

  13. If your logs are correct and up to date, press "Yes" on the following screen. If not, press "No".

  14. Your duty day has now ended and your log for the day is certified.
  15. If you need to go back on-duty after ending and certifying your day, you may select "On-Duty" from the HOS screen and touch "Yes"
