How does FleetWatcher determine which speed reading will be reported?
Answer:
The TruckPC determines which speed recording is reported on FleetWatcher. The TruckPC can record speed either through the ECM (via JBUS) or from the GPS. The TruckPC will always choose the ECM reading as long as the ECM reading is available. The TruckPC will only use the GPS speed data for recording if the ECM data becomes unavailable.
